The IDPfun consortium is happy to invite you to its fourth All Hands Meeting “Machine Learning and Protein Structural Disorder”, to be held in Dublin (Ireland) from 30 August to 2 September, 2022.

The meeting will bring together the members of the MSCA RISE project IDPfun – Driving the functional Characterization of Intrinsically Disordered Proteins, the ELIXIR IDP community, and the participants of CAID 2 (Critical Assessment of protein Intrinsic Disorder).

This meeting aims at the description of the relationships between IDPs by combining experimental data and ML approaches, as a necessary and timely step to understand their evolution, function and structural ensembles properties, as well as raise the awareness about IDPs in the scientific community which have been based on globular proteins for many years. It requires the joint effort of scientific teams with different expertise (structural biologists, data scientists, computer scientists and bioinformaticians).

This All Hands meeting will feature:

• a 3 day Hackathon on Machine Learning (ML) disorder predictor development
• the meeting of the IDPfun databases communities, the communities closely collaborating with the IDPfun consortium and ELIXIR IDP Community Annual Meeting
• the conference Machine Learning and Protein Structural Disorder, which features the IDPfun conference and the Conference on the Critical Assessment of protein Intrinsic Disorder

The meeting is going to be a face-to-face meeting and limited remote access to some of the meetings and talks.
