The MacArthur Foundation recently recognized the brilliance of one deserving member of the condensates community, Ibrahim Cissé, by naming him a 2021 MacArthur Fellow for his contributions to quantitative microscopy and the study of condensates. The foundation remarked, “Through his cutting-edge innovations in single-molecule microscopy and in-depth understanding of biophysical and cellular processes, Cissé is illuminating the dynamics of gene regulation and enabling further investigation of biological condensates.”
