The LCD-Composer webserver: high-specificity identification and functional analysis of low-complexity domains in proteins

Sean Cascarina

This article describes a webserver that was recently developed to identify low-complexity domains in whole proteomes. The webserver allows researchers to perform customized searches for specific types of low-complexity domains based on predetermined compositional features of the desired low-complexity sequences. Since low-complexity domains have been implicated in condensate formation and regulation, this tool may be of use to those in the condensate community.
