Researchers from the Molecular Design lab of Luhua Lai at Peking University, China, used machine learning to learn from the phase separation proteins (PSPs) collected in LLPSDB, and then developed this sequence-based prediction tool for LLPS. They published the method for PSPredictor in BMC Bioinformatics in 2022. All you need to do is copy and paste the FASTA sequence of your favorite protein, and the PSPredictor will give you a simple yes or no whether it ‘thinks’ your protein will phase separate.
